8 Hours Itinerary
We start in the direction of Pompeii Ruins, the old town that was covered by Lava from the Catastrophic Eruption of Mount Vesuvius spanning two days in 79 A.D. and was escavated only few Centuries ago.
The tour will continue to the Archeological site of Herculaneum, the town which is located at southeast of the city of Naples.
The medieval town of Resina was built on the volcanic material left by the eruption of Vesuvius (AD 79) that destroyed the ancient city of Herculaneum, from which the present name is derived.
The last place you will visit is Mount Vesuvius ,that is best known for its eruption in AD 79 that led to the destruction of the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum and the death of 10,000 to 25,000 people. It has erupted many times since and is today regarded as one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world.
